Purchasing a home, especially for the first time, can be a daunting experience but there are a few things you can do now to help make the
process go smoothly.
• First, hiring a real estate professional to help you find the right home and negotiate a fair price costs you nothing because the seller pays
your realtor’s commission.
• Second, use a mortgage consultant to find out how much down payment you need and what size mortgage you qualify for. Some of our
programs require little or no down payment. We charge you nothing for our pre-qualification service.
• Third, create a list of what you want in a home. Things like number of bedrooms, bathrooms, new construction versus existing homes,
proximity to schools and shopping are just a few important features to include on your list. Your real estate professional will help you
refine the list and be able to show you homes that meet most or all of your needs.
